Ella Christine Cremeans, 92, of West Mansfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 11, 2019 at her residence.
She retired from Ray Lewis & Son in Marysville where she worked as a buffer for over 25 years. A member of the former Friends Church in West Mansfield, she was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and at the Give and Take, served meals to seniors at the firehouse and belonged to the American Iris Association, the Central Ohio Iris Society where she served as president for 7 years and the American African Violet Society. She enjoyed tending to her iris beds, reading books, watching golf and football but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Born April 9, 1927 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Sheila Rose (Foster) Randall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Harold McNelly, Thomas Hobart and Arnold Cremeans; sons, Thomas McNelly and Robert Hobart; stepson, Edward Cremeans; brothers and sisters, Edward (Mary Elizabeth) Randall, Earl (Sally) Randall, Ruth (Chuck) Drosos, Beulah (Albert) Page and Adella (Roger) Baker and 2 granddaughters.
She is survived by her children, Mary Rose Moran of West Mansfield, Jerry (Diane) Hobart of Belle Center and Wuanna “Bonnie” Brown of Caldwell; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Dick) Wilson of Springfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 15, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Dean Wasson will officiate and burial will at Highland Memorial Park in West Liberty. Memorial contributions can be made to the West Mansfield Conservation Club in care of the funeral home. We are sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was a great lady and funny. I had the privilege of working with her a few times at the Give and Take and always had lots of fun and laughter with her. She will be missed here in town.
