Condolence From: Rich & Linda Lehman, Pandora, OH
Condolence: West Mansfield seems a little fallen as we begin 2018. Another veteran is gone and it is just natural to think of WM as being a little darker, a little sad, with an empty spot just under your heart. Rich and I want to send our condolences to Bernadine, Clifford, Linda and their families. When a family loses their patriarch -- it is not easy to find a replacement. When you say their names -- you always say them together as if it is all one word: "George-and-Bernadine-Cronkleton"! And that is how they will be remembered. Hopefully the family has enjoyed the stories and memories -- even new tales that no one else remembered about George, and you automatically want to be sure to tease George about that. And then you remember again that George is gone. He will be missed. May the Lord grant each of you comfort in the coming days and weeks as you begin to make sense of all the endless documents, etc. that are required. "Cronkleton, at ease. Well done for your service to your community and country, sir."

Condolence: George was my last living first cousin. He had the good sense to marry a beautiful and talented young woman in 1944. As a seven year old I remember waiting in a "cold" car until Aunt Hilda and Uncle Joe came out of the WM Methodist Church to go to the Reames home for a reception.

Our sympathy goes to Linda, the adorable flower girl at our wedding, and her little brother Clifford who didn't get a new suit for our 1955 September wedding. We visited with George and Bernadine in July and he was so proud of his family which had gone forth and multiplied. We regret being unable to see and meet the next generations due to my health issues and four inches of snow, with more predicted.

When Ohio gets a break in winter weather we will be up to see Bernadine in the lonely days ahead. May God be with the all the family in the days to come.

Condolence: George was my Dad's cousin, Ed Armentrout. I remember spending time at their farm when we were young, and was happy to re-connect with George and Bernardine when they came to my parents' home to visit in 2003 when I was also there, I have photos of that day and they are precious. Such a lovely couple, so glad they were part of my family
