Robert L. “Bob” Leininger, 63, of Green Hills Community in West Liberty, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Lima Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born October 6, 1956 in Bellefontaine, he was the son of the late Stanley Leininger and Jean Kerr Leininger who resides in Huntsville.
Bob was a 1975 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School. Over the years he worked for many farm related businesses and drove trucks for Werner Enterprises and Chambers Leasing.
Having grown up on the farm, he was interested in all things to do with farming, especially tractor pulls and county fairs. He enjoyed Sunday afternoon drives through the countryside to check on the crops. He loved the family dog Jasper, and enjoyed spending time with his sister’s little dachshunds, Graci and Kirbi.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his brothers, John Leininger of Huntsville and Richard (Brenda) Leininger of Martinsville, IN; a sister, Laura Leininger of Columbus; an aunt, Donna Smith of West Mansfield; a niece, Lisa; great nieces, Mariah and Cheyenne of Mooresville, IN and several cousins.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services held at this time and burial will be held at the East Liberty Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled for the family by Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield.
