Albert Coe

Albert Eugene "Pete" Coe, 73, of Marion and formerly of Ostrander, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Marion General Hospital. Born December 15, 1942 in Columbus, he was the son of the late Ernest E. and Pearl (Edwards) Coe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Don Coe and by his aunts, Mildred Holycross, Marie Brown, Ruth Cordell, Mabel Lilly, Ocie Torbert, Dora Messmer, and Cora Slemmons.. Pete grew up on a farm near Ostrander where he showed chickens for many years. He was considered a "go to" person on anything related to chickens. Also known as "Wobbles," Pete could be seen riding his bicycle anywhere and everywhere, often stopping along the way to help and do odd jobs for people. A fast talker, he loved his family, enjoyed painting, especially farm scenes, collecting cars and visiting with friends. On July 31, 2009, he married Jackie (Wyatt) and she survives in Marion. Also surviving are his uncle, James Coe of Marysville; an aunt, JoAnne Coe of Marysville; dozens and dozens of cousins and his step children and step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Mannasmith Funeral Home. Pastor Jeremy Stout will officiate and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery next to his parents. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
