Alma L. Nunn, 73, of West Mansfield, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 29, 2026, after many months of failing health. Alma was born on August 23, 1952, in Knobel, Arkansas, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her with her warmth, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.
Alma devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker. She was known above all for being a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother. Her presence brought comfort and joy to every gathering, large or small, and she was treasured as the heart of her home.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 54 years, Bill Nunn, whom she married September 2, 1972, in West Mansfield; her daughter, Mindy (Brent) Moore; her son, David (Shannon) Nunn; and two sisters, Sandra Trout and Karen Neuerman. Alma’s love extended with pride to the next generations: her grandchildren, Coleton (Makayla) Nunn, Caleb Nunn, Ryan (Jalynn) Humphrey, Reede Humphrey, and Reagin Anderson, all of whom brought endless joy to her later years. Her legacy continues to flourish through her great-grandchildren: Avery Nunn, Cannon Nunn, Axl Martin, Neilina Lewis, and Waylon Humphrey. She will also be fondly remembered by her bonus daughter, Rebecca Compton.
Alma’s heart was generous and her spirit gentle. She especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding great happiness in their stories, laughter, and presence. In her leisure time, Alma found fulfillment in reading, tending to her garden, traveling to new places, and those simple pleasures of riding around town. Each of these interests reflected her curiosity about the world and her appreciation for life’s simple beauties.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Beverly Ann (Larson) Trout; her dear daughter, Amy Nunn; and her brother, John Trout.
Services to celebrate Alma’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Jack Knox will officiate, and burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Interim Hospice, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
