Anna Eastman

Anna Mae Eastman, 79, of rural West Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Anna Mae enjoyed gardening, listening to gospel music, loved attending church and going to any and all church activities, especially with her family. A former longtime member of the Mt. Carmel Friends Church in Cable, she was currently a member of the Goshen Friends Church. A 1956 graduate of Byhalia High School, she formerly worked at the Plaza Inn, Westinghouse and the Corinthian Nursing Home in Kenton. Born August 25, 1938 in Byhalia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Maudie (Stewart) Sherwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Taylor; sisters, Mary Louise Kinikin and Betty Jo Welling and her brothers, Paul and Bob Sherwood. On June 30, 1956, she married her husband of over 61 years, Carroll R. Eastman at the Byhalia Friends Church and he survives in West Mansfield. Also surviving are her children, Cheryl Ann Miller of Cleveland, Deborah (Ed) Smith of Kenton, Donna (Bob) Griffin of Bellefontaine, Steven Eastman and Pauletta Scheck of Ellinwood, KS, Cindy (Elvin) Hoffman of Bellefontaine and Beth (Forest) Dyer of Mansfield; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Friends may call from 2-5 P.M. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Goshen Friends Church 5527 C.R. 153 Zanesfield, OH. Reverend Wayne Downing will officiate and burial will follow at the Byhalia Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the committal service at the cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Goshen Friends Church.
