Anna Lou Shoemaker, 85, formerly of Irwin, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the home of her granddaughter Samantha with her loving family by her side.
A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she worked in home healthcare most of her life. She enjoyed reading, buying lottery tickets, playing bingo and crocheting. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially making buckeyes with, and babysitting her grandchildren.
Born August 31, 1934 in Champaign County, she was the daughter of the late Hershel and Mary (Cupps) Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Jim and Huck Shoemaker; a grandson, Mark Shoemaker and her brothers, Ron and Eddie Daniel.
Anna is survived by her son, Dwight (Trudy) Shoemaker of Irwin; a brother, Melvin (Anne) Daniel of Marysville; grandchildren, Chris (Heather) Shoemaker of Plain City, Lacey (Danny) Fannin of Plain City, Samantha (Kirk) Kirts of Plumwood and Shane Shoemaker of Portland, OR; great grandchildren, Abby and Tatem Shoemaker, Zane Shoemaker, Bryant, Rylan, Parker and Hudson Fannin and a sister-in-law, Marsha Shoemaker of Plain City.
Friends may call from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. Social Distancing will be encouraged. Pastor Jeremy Stout will officiate and burial will follow at the Milford Center Cemetery. Kirk Kirts, Chris Shoemaker, Shane Shoemaker and Bryant Fannin will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
