Arline Heintz

Arline Laura Heintz Arline Laura Heintz, age 89, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at The Convalarium of Dublin. A loving homemaker, Arline was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with her family. She was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and lived parts of her life in Columbus, Chicago, and New Castle, Indiana. She enjoyed knitting and watching Dancing With The Stars, and will be remembered for always maintaining a positive outlook on life, especially in her later years. She was born September 18, 1923, in Buffalo to the late Joseph and Esther Hoehn Steinkirchner. She married Edward H. Heintz on April 27, 1946, in Buffalo, and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tom Heintz. Survivors include her two daughters, Sue (Mark Yates) Mertz, Columbus; and Carol (Lad) Dietrich, Marysville; 6 grandchildren, Jan (Thierry) Saglier, Ron Mertz, Laurie (Dave) Linebaugh, Stacey (Mike) Gilmore, Scott (Shannon) Edwards, and Eric (Sarah) Heintz; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Cooley, Arcade, NY. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013, at Mannasmith Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Barry Scott will officiate. Following cremation, a private family interment will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Foundation in support of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team.
