Beverlee Miller

June 7, 1926 — February 27, 2018

Beverlee Jean Miller, 91, of Marysville, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Memorial Gables following a year of failing health and with family by her side. To know Bev was to love her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and dear friend to many. A voracious reader, she loved to read just about anything and enjoyed to crewel, especially pillows. An avid card player, she belonged to 5 bridge clubs. At the age of 50, she decided on a new challenge and took up golfing, continuing to play until she was 80, sometimes in as many as 3 leagues. A woman of strong faith, she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A graduate of the Abbott Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN, Bev would go on to a 40 year career in nursing. She worked a Memorial Hospital of Union County and retired from the Ohio Reformatory for Women in 1986. Born June 7, 1926 in Superior, WI, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Kyle) Nelson. On August 27, 1949 in Columbus, she married her husband of 67 years, Richard A. Miller and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2016. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Kyle Miller; a sister and two brothers. Surviving are her children, Michael (Lynn) Miller of Marysville, Marianne (Richard) Muhleman of Dublin, Richard C. (Joyce) Miller of Hilliard and Jeanne (Stan) Stillings of Marysvile; grandchildren, Adam (Karrie) Miller, Kyle Miller, Patrick Miller, Kathryn (Michael) Lupia, Jill Muhleman, Grace Miller, Natalie Miller, Margaret Miller and Thomas Stillings; great grandchildren, Marie and George Miller; a sister, Nancy Hodsdon of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
