Billy Green Hamilton Billy Green Hamilton, age 71, of Marysville died Friday, January 18, 2013, in the comfort of his own home with his loving family at his side following a courageous journey with cancer. Billy was a longtime employee with Hermie's Home Restaurant and Marysville Meat Packing Company and retired following 22 years of dedicated service with the Union County YMCA. He was a member of the Marysville Eagles Aerie #3506 where he enjoyed playing pool and darts and visiting with friends. Billy enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting with his boys, and watching golf and NASCAR, rooting for Tiger Woods and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was a kind-hearted, gentle man who treasured the love of his family. He will be deeply missed. He was born November 2, 1941, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to the late Sie and Birdie Moseley Hamilton. He married Donna Belle Sarver on October 22, 1964, and she preceded him in death on November 25, 2000. He was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Hamilton, Jr., a brother, Terry Hamilton, a brother-in-law, Willy Moore, and many loving members of his wife's family. Survivors include his 3 sons, Edward (Maria) Hamilton, Galion; and Robert Hamilton and Dennis Hamilton, each of Marysville; his daughter, Frances (Donnie) Spain, Marysville; 9 grandchildren, Tiffany (Nick) Woods, Brittany (Zack) Cox, Michael Hamilton, Stephanie Hamilton, Sabrina Spain, DJ Spain, Hayli Hamilton, Davien Hamilton, and Miranda Hamilton; 3 step-grandchildren, Aaron, Elise, and Bailey Barnhart; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaden & Jaden Craft; his siblings, Sie (Christine) Hamilton, Jr., Bob Hamilton, Harold Dean Hamilton, Opal Moore, and Audrey (Charles) Stratton, all of Prestonsburg, KY; Shelby Jean (Nathaniel) Moore, Strohs, IN; and Charlene (John) Moseley, Hindman, KY; 2 sisters-in-law, Winifred Shreves, Bellefontaine; and Elaine Thompson, Marysville; a brother-in-law, Jacob (Sue) Sarver, Richwood; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. A Celebration of Billy's life will take place Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Mannasmith Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Reverend Andy Albertini will officiate and burial will take place at a later date at Raymond Cemetery.
