Marion

Bradley F. "Brad" Reed, 56, of Marion and affectionately known as "Fred," left this world on Friday, July 11, 2025. Born on January 24, 1969, in Columbus, Brad's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with music, family, and friendship. He peacefully passed away at Marion General Hospital.

A 1988 graduate of Harding High School, Brad nurtured a deep-seated passion for music throughout his life. He was not just an admirer; he was a participant, singing, playing, and writing songs that resonated with his heart and soul. One of his proudest accomplishments was having his song "February" recorded, a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft.

Brad worked at Buckeye Collision Service, Audsam Printing, and Primrose Retirement Community, where he was always welcoming to family, friends, and acquaintances alike. His easy-going nature and infectiously warm smile made him a beloved figure within his community. Brad treasured the simple joys in life, especially during moments shared with friends over a cold beer, while discussing music that sparked passion in everyone present. He loved hockey and was an avid fan of the New York Rangers. He found peace taking car rides around Waldo or spending time at his brother's pond.

Family played a vital role in Brad's life. He is survived by his loving mother, Sharon Reed; his brothers, Brian (Michelle) Reed, Barry (Julie) Reed, and Brent (Heather) Reed, all of Marion; his nephew, Andrew (LaKisha); niece, Shaunda; as well as his great niece, Aubrey and great nephew, Colt.

He will also be deeply missed by many close friends who shared laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments with him. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. "Pops" Reed.

In keeping with Brad's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time. A Celebration of his Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
