Carol L. Baughman, 61, of Powell, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her residence. Born June 20, 1955 in Mt. Gilead, she was the daughter of Harold E. and the late Ruth L. (Albright) Baughman. A 1973 graduate of Mt. Gilead High School, Carol then went on to graduate from the Ohio State University College of Nursing in 1977. She would go on to work as a registered nurse with The Ohio State University Hospital for the next 32 years, retiring in 2009. While at OSU Hospital, she received recognition for excellence in nursing from the hospital. Her career was such a passion, that she often attended nursing seminars to further her knowledge of the profession. In her free time, Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed crafts of many kinds and loved to shop. Carol is survived by her father, Harold E. (Jean) Baughman of Mt. Gilead and her sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Craig Ward of Marion. In keeping with Carol's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time and a service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being completed by the Wilson Funeral Home 621 W. Fifth St. Marysville, OH.
