Clyde Miley

Clyde Miley, 70, formerly of Prospect and recently of Heartland of Marion, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Marion General Hospital after nearly 7 years of failing health.
Clyde worked as a concrete laborer and finisher for over 35 years and at the former Great Lakes Carbon for 5 years. He was a former member of the Moose #889, Eagles #337, Elks #32, the Hardin County Coonhunters Club and the American Legion Post 368 in Prospect.
In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing pool, placing friendly wagers and socializing with his family and friends. In recent years, he enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, bingo, playing cards with his friends at Heartland and visits from family members, especially his great niece, Macy.
Known as quite a character, Clyde was always kind, caring, generous and helpful to everyone that knew him and he will be dearly missed by all of them.
Born October 1, 1948 in Marion, he was the son of the late Carl D. and Mary L. (Kline) Miley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl L. Miley.
Clyde is survived by a brother, Donald E. "Donnie" (Cheryl) Miley of Prospect; a sister, Linda S. (Kevin) Berkshire of Ft. Wayne, IN; 4 nephews, Donald, Jr., Robert, Brad and Ty; a niece, Kelley; 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
In keeping with Clyde's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services observed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson Funeral Home, Marysville.
