Darlene Stanley

Darlene L. Stanley, 54, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her residence. Born February 21, 1963 in Hardin County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Floris (Meddles) Stanley. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in West Mansfield. She is also survived by her sister, Tamara (Tony) Dowell of Zanesfield; a nephew, Adam (Karen) Dowell of Bellefontaine and 2 great nephews, Ethan and Briar and a great niece, Avery. Darlene was a 1981 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School and she went on to earn a Bachelor's of Science degree from The Ohio State University in 1988. She was career driven and loved her job working as an environmental specialist for the Ohio EPA in Columbus for many years. A lover of animals, she was also involved with the ASPCA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the West Mansfield Church of Christ 235 S. Main St. West Mansfield, OH. Dean Wasson and Dr. Jason Robson will officiate. Friends may call prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research or the National Kidney Foundation.
