David C. Fields, 64, of West Mansfield, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at his residence with his loving family at his side.
A 1974 graduate of Old Town High School, he went on to proudly serve nearly 30 years in the U.S. Army from 1975-2005. Dave worked in HVAC with Vaughn Industries for many years.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He made sure to take care of his loved ones.
Dave enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR, "tinkering" in the garage, and visiting with people while working the Fish Fry at the Conservation Club.
Born January 12, 1956 in Old Town, ME, he was the son of the late Arthur and Monica (Daigle) Fields. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur "Skip" Fields.
On August 12, 1978 in Old Town, ME, he married his wife of over 41 years, Wendy Faloon and she survives in West Mansfield. Also surviving are his children, David A. (Holly) Fields of Kenton, Kerri (Matt) Everett of Norridgewok, ME and Jenn (Rick) York of Skowhegan, ME; grandchildren, Chase, Matthew, Alyssa, Lizzie, Casey, Kade, Eli, Alex and Axel; a great grandchild, Mya; sister, Kathy (Charlie) Taylor of West Mansfield; brothers, Steve (Teresa) Fields and Tony "Shorty" (Andrea) Fields both of West Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-7 P.M. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 8, 2020. Burial will take place at a later date in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Following the service on Saturday, a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Dave's life will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the West Mansfield Conservation Club 701 S. Main St. West Mansfield. Memorial contributions can be made to the West Mansfield Conservation Club in care of the funeral home. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
