Donald F. Moore, Sr. of Marysville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Born on October 28, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, Donald lived a life rich in love, devotion, and cherished memories.
With a dedicated career spanning over 41 years, Donald worked for Nestles in Marysville and Sunbury for 24 years, followed by an additional 17 years at Memorial Hospital in Marysville. His contributions to his workplaces were invaluable, showcasing a steadfast commitment and a strong work ethic that remains an exemplary legacy for those who worked alongside him.
Donald was a devoted husband and father, who found unparalleled joy in spending time with his family. His love for his loved ones was boundless, and his proud heart swelled with happiness as he watched his grandchildren grow. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela (Bolenbaugh) Moore; his daughter, Patrichia (Stephan "Butch") James; grandchildren, Tyler (Melanie) James, David Moore, and Madilyn (Aaron) Taylor, along with his great-granddaughter, Adilyn Taylor. He also leaves behind step-granddaughters, Audra Anderson and Emilyne Anderson; sisters-in-law, Patti Bolenbaugh and Karla Bolenbaugh, as well as nephews, Robert Parker, Richard (Wendy) Bolenbaugh III, and Daniel (Angela) Bolenbaugh; a niece, Angela (Tony) Randall; along with several great nieces and nephews. .
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Walter F. and Geneva B. (Turner) Moore; a son, Donald Moore, Jr. a sister, Marilyn Bendler; a nephew Ronald Parker; and his in-laws Richard "Ted" and Kathryn Bolenbaugh, and brothers-in-law Richard "Dickie" Bolenbaugh II and Kevin Bolenbaugh, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Outside of work and family, Donald had passions that included gardening—where he cultivated both plants and memories—and, in his younger years, the thrill of riding his motorcycles. These interests brought him much joy and served as cherished pastimes that he loved to share with those around him.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel, located at 621 W. 5th Street in Marysville. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, 1290 W. Fifth St., Marysville.
