Ellen R. "Dutch" Eastman, 81, of West Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center after several months of failing health.
A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family. She had a love of flowers, and a "green thumb" to go with that love. She also loved to travel, ride snow mobiles and baking and decorating cakes.
A 1957 graduate of Mt. Victory High School, she attended the Mt. Victory Church of Christ in her younger years and later the Byhalia Friends Church.
Born March 25, 1939 in Hardin County, she was the daughter of the late Hosea and Pearl (Predmore) McCullough. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine "Ting," Ruthella "Tom," June, and Wilma "Bill" and a son-in-law, Scott Parthemore.
On March 28, 1958 in Mt. Victory, she married her husband of over 62 years, Henry Eastman and he survives in West Mansfield. She is also survived by her children, Terrie (Jack) DeLong of West Mansfield, Pearlynn Parthemore of Springfield, Dawn (Jeff) Hess of Texas and Thomas (Kimberly) Eastman of West Mansfield; grandchildren, Cole (Kristi) DeLong, Steffen (Shelby) DeLong, Dillion (Sara) DeLong, Jeremy (Jennifer) Parthemore, Alicia Green, Brian (Kari Goen) Hess, Elizabeth Howard, Ashleigh Markwell and Kaitlyn Markwell; 13 great grandchildren; her twin brother, Allen "Buck" McCullough of Cardington; a sister, Jean McKinley of Kenton along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
In keeping with Dutch's wishes, there will be no calling hours held. Pastor Jim Gardner will conduct a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2020 in the York Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to NASH (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitus) or the Byhalia Friends Church in care of the funeral home.
