Gladys Mae Brown Gladys Mae Brown, age 91, of Milford Center died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Heartland of Marysville with her family at her side. She was employed as a press operator with Ranco for 40 years and was proud to work at Wright Patterson during World War II. Gladys was a lifetime member of Milford Center United Methodist Church and was a 1940 graduate of Union Rural High School. She enjoyed playing softball, having been a member of the Stocksdale Dollarettes softball team, and always enjoyed supporting her nieces and nephews in their sporting events. She was a loyal Ohio State Buckeyes fan and treasured time spent with her family. She was born August 26, 1922, in Milford Center to the late Walter and Gertrude Hefner Brown. She lived her entire lifetime in the same residence prior to entering the nursing home. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Evenlyn Robinson, Sterling Brown, Norman Brown, Myrtie Ashcraft, Elnora Grove, and Walter Brown, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Schnees, Milford Center; a sister-in-law, Patty Brown, Hilliard; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Mannasmith Funeral Home, Marysville, where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Pam Connolly will officiate and burial will take place at Union Township Cemetery, Milford Center.
