Hiep Imler

Hiep Imler, age 82, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away on April 1, 2026. Born on July 21, 1943, in Saigon, Vietnam, Hiep lived a life defined by love, devotion to family, and quiet generosity.

Hiep met the love of her life, Kermit Imler, during the Vietnam War, and they were married for nearly 60 years. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, hospitality, and unwavering support for their family. Hiep took great pride in being a homemaker and found her greatest joy in caring for her loved ones.

She was a devoted mother to her children: Khanh (Chuck) Bremer, Kermit (Michelle) Imler, and Khristine Imler. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ryan (Morgan) Bremer, Julia (Kyle Lepley) Bremer, and Nicholas Bremer. Nothing brought her more happiness than attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and school events, always cheering them on with pride.

Over the years, Hiep developed a love for soccer and became an enthusiastic fan of the Columbus Crew. Hiep was known for her welcoming nature—no one ever entered her home without being offered a beverage, whether they were thirsty or not, and guests never left empty‑handed. She also had an endearing and well‑known habit when dining out, often asking for a to‑go box as soon as her meal arrived, a small but memorable reflection of her practical and thoughtful spirit.

Hiep was preceded in death by her father, mother, two sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Kermit Imler; her three sisters, Ha Pham, Kim Nguyen, and Van Tran; her children; her grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.

Hiep was loved by many, and her kindness, generosity, and gentle presence will be remembered always. Though she will be greatly missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private service was held in her honor.
