Howard A. Weinlein, 70, of Byhalia, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 at Hospice of Central Ohio in Columbus.
A graduate of Marysville High School, Howard was a lifelong, Holstein dairy farmer, with his father and brother on the Weinlein family farm. Having a love for the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, boating, landscaping, listening to loud music while outside grilling and relaxing with a cold beer. He also enjoyed fast, classic “muscle cars” and John Deere tractors. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor, endless jokes and pranking people.
Born August 2, 1953 in Marysville, he was the son of the late Albert and Marilyn (Miller) Weinlein. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jane McCarty and Barb Weinlein-Brockwell; and a brother-in-law, Bill Jones.
On November 25, 2009 he married his wife of over 14 years, Sarah (Gerfen) Weinlein, and she survives in Byhalia. He is also survived by his children, Jacob (Hiliary) Weinlein of Arizona, Benjamin (Jessica) Weinlein of Delaware, Katherine (Derek Lore) Weinlein of Marion, and Alexus (Travis) Patterson of Springfield; grandchildren, Layne, Grace, Avilee, Gabriel, Amariannah, Austyn and Ashtyn; a brother, Dave (Carol) Weinlein; sisters, Mary Cummins and Ruth Jones; father and mother-in-law, Terry and Shirley Jones; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Howard’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. Private graveside services will be held for the family at the Byhalia Cemetery.
