James O. Combs

James O. Combs, born on May 15, 1983, in Marysville, Ohio, passed away on June 26, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. He was 43 years old.

James will be remembered by all who knew him for his fun-loving personality and remarkable sense of humor. He brought light and laughter into the lives of his loved ones, delighting in playing jokes and creating cherished memories with his family and friends. His warmth and kindness reached many, forging deep bonds and lasting friendships.

From an early age, James displayed a passion for the arts that shaped much of his life. After attending Marysville High School, he nurtured a lifelong love of music—whether writing and creating melodies, listening to his favorite songs, or sharing his musical discoveries with others. His creativity also shone through his talent for drawing, an interest that brought him happiness and relaxation throughout the years.

One of James’ greatest joys was spending time with his family. He treasured every moment with his children, Aiden, Kylie, and Alison—who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his sister, Lacey (Shaun) Ervin; aunts, Kathy (Josh) Carter and Pam (Jerry) Miller; cousins, Robert (Kimberly) Drumm, Christopher (Ashley) Drumm, Erica (Terry) Haubiel, Jerry Miller, Travis Rice, and Dalton Norris, along with his stepsisters, Sabrina and Samantha.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta (Combs) Moore; his father, Jim Watson; his grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Combs; an aunt, Brenda Norris; a stepbrother, Steven Moore; and his cousin, Jacob Combs.

A celebration of James' life will be held privately by the family. Arrangements are in care of the Wilson Funeral Home 621 W. 5th St. Marysville. To share a memory of James or send a condolence to the family, please visit www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
