Janice McCombs

February 14, 1941 — August 9, 2015

Janice Louise McCombs, 74, of Marysville, died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Janice was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, worked at Chenille Products from which she retired, was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Marysville, she enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, but what she cherished most was spending time with her grandchildren. Born February 14, 1941 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Earl William and Hazel Irene (Huber) Brake. On January 22, 1960 she married Harry James McCombs and he preceded her in death on October 11, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, James Michael McCombs, a sister Martha "Marty" Cook and a brother-in-law, Darrell Pierce. Surviving are her children, Harry James "Jim" (Beth) McCombs and Rita (Randy) Hellmann both of Marysville and Terry Arthur of Marion; grandchildren, Brooke Renee Hellmann, Jacob Alexander (KyLee) McCombs, Christine Suzanne Hellmann, Jessica Lynn McCombs, Jeremy Arthur, Joshua (Brittany) Arthur, and John Arthur; great grandson, Owen James McCombs and her sisters, Patricia Pierce, Shirley Gantt and Phyllis (Richard) Record all of Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Denise Turpin officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Mannasmith Funeral Home.
