John J. "Jack" Grace John J. "Jack" Grace, age 91, of Palm Harbor, Florida, died December 12, 2010. A sausage maker for over 40 years, Jack was employed with David Davies Meat Packing Company and Herman Falters Meat Packing Company in Columbus. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in the Philippines during World War II. He had resided in Marysville, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio, and Tarpon Springs, Florida. Jack enjoyed membership with the American Legion. Jack was a creative tinker with constant home projects. Jack was born October 31, 1919, in Columbus, to the late John Wesley and Sara Spicer Grace. Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leona Mae Thompson Grace, formerly of Marysville, to whom he was married on May 23, 1948. Additional surviving family members include a son, John W. Grace, Kentucky; a daughter, Suzanne (Brent) Wientjes, California; 3 grandchildren, John Grace, Greg Wientjes, and Michelle (Sarath) Boyapati; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kayla & Asha Boyapati. A graveside service will take place Monday, August 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to any local military veterans group.
