Karin Barrett, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Heritage Senior Living of Marysville, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and neighbors. More than anything, she loved being with her family and showing them love through a shared meal, a joyful holiday celebration, or a laughter-filled gathering.
Karin was a senior executive in benefits administration for the Borden Company and for the ScottsMiracle-Gro Company. In her retirement, she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with friends and neighbors, and traveling with her husband.
Born May 6, 1945 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Karin was the daughter of Anna Maria and Robert Fouty. On November 10, 1979, she married William (Bill) Barrett.
Karin is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband, Bill; her son, Rob (Alicia) Adams; her daughter, Christina Shoffner; grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Rebecca Adams, and Grace Shoffner; her sister, Barbara (James) Aberegg, and extended family.
