WEST MANSFIELD: Kristine K. Wilhelm-Whitt, age 46, of West Mansfield, Ohio went home to the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2016 surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer. Born on March 30, 1970 in Marion, Ohio to Jerry and Jene (Cratty) Wilhelm. Kris was a 1988 graduate of Marion Harding High School. She worked for the Junior Library Guild in Plain City until her illness. In addition, she worked part-time for Kustom Kritter Fitters during the annual All American Quarter Horse Congress. Kris was a natural sales person. She didn't know a stranger and had a knack for meeting people and remembering them. She had a love for books and was an animal lover of cats, dogs and horses. Kris is survived by two daughters, Katie Wilhelm of Goettington, Germany, and Paige Whitt of West Mansfield, OH; sister, Karen (Darryl) Aschim of Plain City, OH; brother Greg (Cheryl) Wilhelm of Beaverton, OR; step-brothers, Jason (Dawn) White of Louisville, KY, Toby (Stephanie) White of Bardstown, KY; her father and stepmom, Jerry (Sue) Wilhelm; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles. Kris was preceded in death by her mother, Jene Wilhelm, in 2003; paternal and maternal grandparents; many aunts and uncles. At her request, her body will be donated to the Ohio State University College of Medicine for cancer research. Kris did not want a formal funeral and service, so a casual gathering of family and friends celebrating Kris' life was held on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
