Larry Friend

Larry C. Friend Larry C. Friend, age 61, of Marysville died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, with his family at his side at The OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. A former truck driver, Larry worked part-time with U-Co Industries where he enjoyed many friendships. He was a 1971 graduate of Marysville High School. Larry loved working on and detailing his van and was a member of "Vans on the Run" car club. He was born September 20, 1951, in Columbus to the late Cloyce and Olive Glasgow Friend. He was preceded in death by a niece, Linda Anne Carpenter. Survivors include his step-daughter, Christina Matthews, Urbana; 5 siblings, Cloyce (Eula) Friend, Jr., Deland, FL; Gloria (Ron) DeWolf, Columbus; Dave (Gloria) Friend, Marysville; Donna (John) Carpenter, Hilliard; and Randy Friend, Marysville; an uncle, Don (Edith) Friend, Orlando, FL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Friends may call from Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013, at Mannasmith Funeral Home, Marysville, where the funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Andy Albertini will officiate and burial will take place at Broadway Cemetery.
