Larry Overfield

Larry LeRoy Overfield, 76, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Marysville, died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Heartland of Bellefontaine. Born October 24, 1939 in Mechanicsburg, he was the son of the late Harry and Lucille (Penard) Overfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Roberta Paulson; brothers and sisters, Jerry Overfield, Edith Cummings, Walter Overfield and Lucella Meyers. On March 9, 1967 he married Phylis Mitchell and she survives in Bellefontaine. Also surviving are his children, Tina Overfield of Washington and Larry LeRoy Overfield, Jr. of Newport: stepchildren, Myra Wilson of Marysville, Tresia Hunter of California, and Jeffrey and Keith Crisp both of Bellefontaine; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Violet Wilson of Marysville, a brother, Charles Overfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry worked as a concrete finisher for Mitchell's Concrete and Flooring and Ken's Concrete.He enjoyed bowling and playing euchre. Per Larry's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services observed and burial wil take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Mannasmith Funeral Home.
