Lillian L. Davis, 101, of Bellefontaine and formerly of West Mansfield, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
Born December 28, 1917 in West Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Eva (Wilgus) LeVan. On June 15, 1936 in Winchester, IN, she married Carl W. Davis and he preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, 5 brothers and son-in-law. Bill.
A devoted wife and mother, she was a loving homemaker who loved to cook, and was known for her pies. She loved having family and friends around and hosting Sunday dinners. She enjoyed quilting, a talent she learned from her mother. She was also a former member of North Greenfield United Methodist Church.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Vivian Corkwell of West Mansfield; granddaughters, Rhonda (Jim Shelton) Stamper of West Mansfield and Diane (Joel) Minter of West Mansfield; great grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Buettner, Lynette (Landon) Watkins and Cameron Minter; great-great grandchildren, Madison and Miley Buettner and Layton Buettner and sisters-in-law, Rosalee and Blanche LeVan.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Burial will follow next to her husband at North Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
