Lucile Gugel Bunsold Lucile Gugel Bunsold, age 97, of Marysville died Wednesday, November 27, 2013. A lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, she retired in July of 1976 after 26 years as an elementary school teacher. Mrs. Bunsold taught one year at St. John's Lutheran and the balance of her career was spent within the Fairbanks School District. She and her husband established Bunsold Plumbing and Heating in 1952, and she maintained an active role in the success of the business through the years. She was a 1934 graduate of New California High School and attended Capital University, Ohio State University, and Urbana University. Her membership interests included St. John's Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, ACES Card Club, Union County and Ohio Retired Teachers' Association, Twig # 6 of Memorial Hospital of Union County, New California Alumni Association, and the Memorial Hospital Health Center. She served many years as a Sunday school teacher and volunteered for over 20 years delivering Mobile Meals. She enjoyed reading, quilting, playing cards, and especially enjoyed her family. She was born June 29, 1916 in New California to the late Justus and Sophia Scheiderer Gugel. She married Edgar Bunsold on February 23, 1941, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 1980. She was preceded in death by a son, John Bunsold; a sister, Marjorie Burns, and 4 brothers, Harry, Homer, Clarence, and Herbert Gugel. Survivors include her son, William (Marlise) Bunsold, daughter-in-law, Sandy (David) Bunsold Martin, 4 grandchildren, Benjamin (Kemi) Bunsold, Cory Bunsold, Susan (David) Bunsold Wilson, and Erin (Andrew) Bunsold Gilleon; 6 great-grandchildren, Naomi Bunsold, Corbin Bunsold, Teddy & Lucy Wilson, and Lydia & Emmaline Gilleon; a sister-in-law, Helen Gugel, many nieces and nephews, and her devoted caregiver, Kim Fields. Friends may call from 3-7 pm on Monday, December 2, 2013, at Mannasmith Funeral Home, Marysville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Reverend Jack Heino will officiate and burial will take place next to her husband at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
