Mary L. Kesterson, 85, of Marysville, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Carriage Court of Marysville.
An avid fan of NASCAR, Mary also enjoyed working puzzle books and crossword puzzles, going for drives on the back roads and visiting her favorite restaurants, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Bob Evans.
She worked several years in packaging at Nestles and formerly attended the Peoria United Methodist Church.
Born December 6, 1934 in Peoria, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Mary (Sarver) Lockwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her former husband, Paul Mummey; a sister, Ola Sutherly; and her brothers, Jacob, Blaine and John Lockwood.
Mary is survived by her children, Robert Mummey of Marysville, James (Carolyn Mosier) Mummey of Bedford, IN and Mary (John) Thoma of Marysville; grandchildren, Liberty Thoma, Chris (Nicole) Thoma and John Paul Thoma; a great grandchild, Allie Thoma and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Boganrife will officiate and burial will follow at the Raymond Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to ViaQuest Hospice in care of the funeral home.
