Ola Sutherly

Ola P. Sutherly, 80, of Richwood, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Ola loved reading her Bible, talking and visiting with friends, watching NASCAR races on TV and listening to country music, but most of all, she cherished her time spent with her family. She retired from Memorial Hospital of Union County where she worked in the cafeteria for 25 years and formerly attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Broadway. Born in Peoria, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Lockwood and Mary Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jacob, Blaine and John Lockwood. On October 18, 1959 in Dublin, she married her husband of 58 years, Jack Sutherly and he survives in Richwood. Also surviving are her children, Carol Burbaugh of Ormond Beach, FL and Mark Eldon (Debbie Covrett) Sutherly of Richwood; a sister, Mary Kesterson of Marysville and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Reverend Jeremy Stout will officiate and burial will follow at Broadway Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
