Robert E. Mummey, 69, of Marysville, passed away on July 1, 2025, at Prestige Gardens in Marysville, following several years of failing health. He was born on August 25, 1955, in Marysville, where he spent his formative years and later graduated from Marysville High School in 1974.

Throughout his professional life, Robert was known for his dedication and hard work. He formerly worked at Bradford Sod and also at Taggart, where he fostered many friendships and left a lasting impression.

Robert had a passion for the outdoors, often engaging in hunting and fishing, which brought him immense joy. He also had a keen interest in collecting arrowheads and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, showcasing his love for sports and his local team.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (John) Thoma of Marysville, his brother, Jim (Carolyn Mosier) Mummey of Bedford, IN; nephews, Chris (Nicole) Thoma and John Paul Thoma, as well as his niece, Liberty Thoma. He also leaves behind a great-niece, Allie Thoma, and Jennifer and Matt, who he considered like his own children.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary (Lockwood) Mummey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Raymond Cemetery on Saturday at 2:30 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Marysville Free Will Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.
