Rodney L. Preston

Rodney L. Preston, 69, of Raymond, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.

Born May 26, 1954 in Portsmouth, he was the son of the late Hershel and Joy (Dean) Preston.

Am loving husband, father, papa and brother, he was a graduate of Piketon High School and retired from the Marysville Honda plant where he worked as a budget manager. He enjoyed traveling, camping, working in the garden and watching football, especially his beloved Cincinnati Bengals.

In 1976, he married his wife of over 47 years, Linda (Ratliff) Preston and she survives in Raymond. He is also survived by his children, Bridgette (Scott) Neal of Dayton, Robert (Ruby) Frederick of Proria, Terry (Alethia Foote) Frederick of Marion and Christy (Eric) Herriott of West Mansfield; grandchildren, Rodney (Felicia) Frederick, Stephanie Herriott, Terry Frederick, Jr, Chase Frederick, Taylor Murphey, Kaylie Heffron, Tyler Neal, Ina Tolin and Paul Tolin; great grandchildren, Raven Jane Frederick and Jonathan Frederick; a brother, Vince Wells of Brookville, IN; a sister, Rhonda Koenig of Lebanon; a brother-in-law, David Ratliff of Grove City; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
