Ronald G. "Ronnie" Cyre Ronald G. "Ronnie" Cyre, age 68, of Marysville, formerly of Hilliard, died unexepectedly Sunday, March 11, 2012, at his home. A hard working man, Ronnie was retired from General Motors' Fisher Guide/Delphi plant on Georgesville Road where he worked 41 years as a Tool & Die Maker and was a member of UAW Local #969. He was presently employed part-time with Napa on Industrial Parkway. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He graduated in 1961 from Hilliard High School and attended Franklin University. Ronnie was a member of the NSRA and The Good Guys nostalgic car club. He was the proud owner of a 1967 Nova Super Sport and loved working on cars, attending car shows, and collecting model trains. He and his wife moved to Marysville in 2005 and built their dream home which provided a labor of love for their children as well. Affectionately known as "Papa", he was deeply devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be missed beyond measure. He was born July 2, 1943, in Columbus to the late Ralph and Betty Ferneau Cyre. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Richard Massenelli, and sister-in-law, Vicki Sayman. Survivors include his wife, Vera Massenelli Cyre, his children, Yvonne, Michael, and Brian (Kristi) Cyre; grandchildren, Heather Klausman, Elijah, Ryder, and Brynn Cyre; his sister, Diana (Steve) Murray, his mother-in-law, Violet Massenelli, brother-in-law, Thomas Sayman, and many friends. A Memorial Mass celebrating Ronnie's life will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1033 W. 5th St., Marysville. Father David Poliafico will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks in care of Mannasmith Funeral Home, 621 West Fifth St., Marysville, OH 43040, who is serving the family.
