Sharon K. Beach

Sharon K. Beach, 77, of Milford Center, passed peacefully on August 6, 2026, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus leaving behind a loving family and a legacy of kindness, steadfast devotion, and memorable contributions to her community.

Born February 10, 1949, in Urbana, she was a proud graduate of Fairbanks High School. Sharon’s early work life began at the Knotty Pine in Woodstock, where she first honed her strong work ethic. She went on to dedicate 32 years of her career in food service at the Ohio Reformatory for Women. Her dependable presence and unwavering commitment to her work touched many colleagues and left an enduring mark at the institution.

Sharon’s greatest joys were found in the happiness and accomplishments of her family. She was the devoted mother of two sons, Danny Harper and Michael (Sharon) Harper, both of whom will carry forward her example of resilience and unconditional love. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Brittany VanDyke, Brandon Spradlin, Harley Smith, Caleb Hickman, Tiffini Harper, Dominic Harper, and Kaylee Harper. Sharon was especially dedicated to her granddaughter Tiffini, whose softball games were a cherished centerpiece in Sharon’s life. She never missed a game, faithfully encouraging not just Tiffini but her entire team, always offering steadfast support to the young athletes.

Sharon was also a beloved sister to Rosemary (Ed) Landon, Teresa Kelley, Joann Summers, and Mariann (Theo) Lewis. Her warmth and generosity will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen (Archer) Evans; her beloved husbands, Carl Harper on August 4, 2007 and Larry Beach October 12, 2020; a daughter, Kimberly Spradlin, and her sisters, Dianna Leonard and Vickie Evans.

Sharon lived a vibrant and giving life, opening her home and heart to family, friends, and even stray animals—no cat that made its way to her porch left without finding a place in her home. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing bingo, gardening, cooking, baking, visiting casinos, and exploring yard sales. To those who knew her, Sharon’s generosity and zest for life were always present, and her kitchen was always a place of comfort, laughter, and delicious treats.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel, 621 W. 5th St. Marysville, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring Sharon’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Union Township Cemetery, Milford Center.
