Shirley Cremeans

October 9, 1939 — February 27, 2016

Shirley Ann Esther Cremeans, 76, of Marysville, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Union County. A loving mom, grandma, sister and a caring friend to many, Shirley was a devoted and active lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church being baptized October 29, 1939 and confirmed March 29, 1953. Shirley retired from O.M. Scotts & Sons after 23 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching Ohio State basketball games on TV. She also enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends playing cards and going out to eat. Born October 9, 1939 in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late Harry J.G. and Helen K.L. (Scheiderer) Rausch. On February 7, 1959 at St. John's Lutheran Church, she married the love of her life, Edward L. Cremeans, who preceded her in death on October 18, 1998. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by infant brother, Cletus Rausch; sisters, Kathleen Caudill and Anna Mae Toops and brother, Marvin Rausch. Surviving are her daughters, Niki (Tim) Clarridge of Marysville and Jeri Shell of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Josh (Fiancé , Karyn Mangan) of Grandview and Austin (Fiancé, Kristen Sheppard) of Marysville; a brother, Gary (Joanne) Rausch of Marysville; step mother-in-law, Christine Cremeans of West Mansfield; brothers-in-law, Richard Cremeans of Loudonville and Jim Caudill of Unionville Center; a sister-in-law, Jean Rausch of Casa Grande, AZ and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many special friends that she loved very much. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Pastor Jack Heino will officiate and burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. at Mannasmith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial contributions can be made to the Parting the Waters Debt Repayment Fund at St. John's Church or the Leukemia Research Foundation in care of the funeral home.
