Susan Lynn Brown, born on July 15, 1947, in Marion, passed away at her residence on July 30, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and dedication to her family will forever be remembered.
Susan pursued an education in accounting, earning her Bachelor’s Degree, which paved the way for a successful career as an accountant and Retirement Plan Specialist. Her professional life was marked by excellence and commitment, reflecting her dedication to her work and those she served.
A woman of faith, Susan attended Amazing Grace Christian Church and once served as the church treasurer, demonstrating her commitment to her community and her spiritual life. She was also a proud member of the Women’s Accounting Association, where her contributions were appreciated by her peers.
Susan found immense joy in her hobbies, which included reading and making puzzles, particularly sudokus on her tablet. She had a fondness for classic movies and treasured moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Among her favorite memories were the birthday dinners celebrated with her granddaughter Brittany each year, a tradition that highlighted the special bond they shared.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Christopher (Susie) Roush and Brian (Michelle) Roush; her grandchildren, Myles (Kelsey) Roush, Austin (Emily) Roush, Nicholas (Lexi) Roush, Makayla (Aaron) Blake, David Roush, and Brittany (Josh) Hickle; as well as her great-grandchildren, Noah, Brynley, Lincoln, Ella, Annie, Teddy, Arthur, and Ezra Roush, and Bodhi and Billie Blake.
Susan is also survived by her sister, Phyllis (Gary) Kalister, and 5 nieces and nephews, alongside several great-nieces and great-nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Hazel Eileen (Bevans) White; her husband, Gary Lee Brown; and her sister, Helen Britton.
Susan Lynn Brown will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy of love and dedication will undoubtedly continue to shine through the lives she touched.
