Timothy Dean

Timothy Dean, 64, of Marysville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, September 4, 2026. He was born on August 22, 1962, in Louisa, KY, and will be remembered as a hardworking man, a devoted family man, and someone who found joy in simple, meaningful pleasures.

A graduate of Fort Gay High School in Fort Gay, WV, Tim carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. Blessed with a wide skill set, he worked a few jobs over the years, most recently as a machine operator. He also gave of himself in service to others as a volunteer firefighter with the Fort Gay Fire Department, a role that reflected his willingness to help his community.

Tim enjoyed a life shaped by the outdoors and by the things he loved most. He had a special love for woodworking and for his dogs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and he was always happy to pull a chair up beside a fire. Those moments of quiet companionship, hard work, and time spent outside were among the things that brought him happiness and will remain cherished memories for those who knew him.

Above all, Tim treasured his family. He is survived by his loving wife of over 27 years, Charyl (Cooper) Dean, whom he married on May 28, 1999, in Marysville. He is also survived by his son, Mitchell Dean; his daughter, Andrea Elliott and her husband, Steven; and his daughter, Daphne Fifield and her husband, Rob; and his grandchildren, Juliann Bayer and her husband, Hunter, Sydney Elliott, Reagen Fifield, and Ava Elliott. His family will carry forward the memory of his steady presence, his love, and the many moments they shared together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murrel and Gladys (McCloud) Dean; his sisters, Maxie Dean, Sheilah Riggs-Dean, and Gloria Patton; and his brothers, Joe Dean and James Michael Dean.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Wilson Funeral Home 621 W. 5th St. Marysville.
