Tina K. Dill

Tina K. Dill of West Mansfield, born July 1, 1954, passed away at the age of 72 on October 31, 2026 at the Ohio State University Hospital surrounded by loved ones following complications from surgery. She was the daughter of Herman and Alice Waltzer who were married for over 68 beautiful years. To have known them, is to know love.

Tina is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry, who passed away before she was born as well as her dear friend, Edwin Green. She is survived by her sons, Bryant Dill of West Mansfield and Tyler (Sabrina) Venture of Seattle, WA as well as her siblings, Teresa (Steve) Fields, Tami (Kenny) Kline, and Tony (Gina) Waltzer. Also surviving are her nephews Jason (Andrea) Keller, Jordan (Julie) Keller, Nick (Katie) Waltzer, Lucas (Michelle) Waltzer, Nathan (Lisa) Fields, and her only niece Caitlyn Fields, who held a special place in her heart. Several great nieces and nephews also survive: Aiden, Hudson, Eli, Aly, Lexi, Langston, Lyle, Llewyn, Emelia, Cal, Van, Lena, as well as Isabel and Ardun whom she saw as surrogate grandkids and Lahna, with whom she always had a special bond.

Tina spent over three decades working at Fields’ Grocery in West Mansfield where she decorated cakes and did the bookwork. She was also the local Avon Lady for much of her adult life and bowled in leagues at TP Lanes for many years. Tina was an ardent supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and always looked forward to her family’s annual fundraiser dinner and the Great Strides Walk. Tina knew every neighborhood cat and dog, but her favorites were always the three kitties waiting for her at home: Hobbs, Theo, and Luca. A single mom, Tina supported her sons in every way she could. She encouraged Tyler’s passion for music and guitar repair and Bryant’s love for writing and social services. There was nothing she loved more than watching TV and movies with her sons, especially with one of her cats cuddled up next to her in her chair. She never once complained about having to watch yet another Marvel movie or documentary or weird indie comedy that she almost always liked more than she expected. If you asked her what her favorite thing was, she would tell you it was hearing her sons laugh. That and dark chocolate.

Tina will be dearly missed. She was more loved than she will ever know and that love will persist. In the words of the Vision: “What is grief if not love persevering?”

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Musab Alebrahim and his team as well as the staff of 12N, 16NE, and 21N for the care they provided.

Services to celebrate Tina’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield.
