Vickie L. Poling, 54, of Marysville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 19, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born August 12, 1966 in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late Donald Richard and Ida (Nichols) Poling. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Ila (Clark) Lockwood-Poling-Shirk.
A 1984 graduate of Ohio Hi-Point/Marysville High School, she worked for many years as a paramedic and most recently was working with the McDonald's on 31 and volunteering at the Hope Center in Marysville..
Vickie loved spending time with her family, whether it was Sunday dinner, Holiday dinners or simply just playing board games, she cherished those family moments. She also made sure to make time for her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children, Darryl Johnson of Beavercreek and Danyelle (Matt) Mets of Marysville; grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Riley Griffith and Mason Mets; a sister, Lisa Lamb; a nephew, Ryan (Brtittany) Hughes; nieces, Leanne and Christina Lamb and several great nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4-6 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Jack Knox will officiate a memorial service Monday at 6:00 P.M. COVID-19 precautions will be observed at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in the Raymond Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hope Center in Marysville.
