Warren Douglas "Soap" Green Warren Douglas "Soap" Green, age 70, of West Mansfield died Monday, November 4, 2013, at The OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, with his wife at his side following an extended illness. He was employed for over 28 years with the railroad in Kenton serving as an operator with Penn Central, Conrail, and CSX. He was a member of the West Mansfield Church of Christ and graduated from Ridgeway High School in 1961. He was a dedicated member and past president of the West Mansfield Conservation Club, formerly served 10 years as Bokescreek Fire Chief, volunteered as a Cub Scout Master and was a founding member of Club 292. Soap was a "one-of-a-kind fella" with a unique and ornery sense of humor. He enjoyed tinkering around the house, attending auctions, and spending time with his family. He was born August 2, 1943, in Cincinnati to William Max and Jean Eloise Hurley Green. His father survives in Belle Center, and his mother preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Ina Crevison, a sister-in-law, Virginia Crevison; and 5 brothers-in-law, Steve Sutherly, Franklin Crevison, Donald Crevison, Charlie Crevison, and Robert Reynolds. Survivors include his devoted wife of 47 years, Daisy Lavon Crevison Green, to whom he was married on November 25, 1966, in Nashville, TN; 2 sons, Greg (Melanie) Green, Huntsville; and Bill (Barb) Green, Martin, GA; a daughter, Elizabeth (Gene) Harris, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, Brandie (Jake) Hobart, Samantha Green, Scarlet Tevis, Anissa Tevis, and Matthew (Emily) Green; a brother, Edwin (Anita) Green, West Mansfield; a sister, Frances Sutherly, Huntsville; 4 sisters-in-law, Lois (Robert) Reynolds, Rushsylvania; Judy (Wayne) Thompson, Waverly, TN; Jeanie Crevison, Nashville, TN; and Janet Crevison, West Mansfield; 2 brothers-in-law, Doug Crevison, McArthur; and John Crevison, West Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Mannasmith-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home, West Mansfield, where the funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Shelley Stephenson will officiate and burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
