Wesley Vollrath, 74, of Marysville, a lifelong and dedicated farmer known for his strong work ethic and deep devotion to family, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 21, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Marysville, on July 1, 1951, Wesley lived a life marked by unwavering commitment to his profession and loved ones. A 1969 graduate of Fairbanks High School, he was a pillar of the agricultural community and cherished member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he was baptized shortly after his birth on July 15, 1951, and confirmed on April 11, 1965.
Wesley’s career as a farmer was more than an occupation; it was a lifelong passion driven by the desire to provide for his family. He found great joy in sharing moments with his family, especially his grandchildren. While they endured a "bit" of teasing from him, each grandchild was deeply cherished and held a special place in his heart. Beyond the fields, Wesley enjoyed simple pleasures such as playing cards, morning donuts at Mrs. Renison's, and hunting during his younger years, reflecting a life grounded in community and tradition.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois (Reith) Vollrath, whom he married July 28, 1979 in Linn, KS; his children, Jason (Cindy) Vollrath of Marysville, Tyson (Janelle) Vollrath of Marysville, and Amanda (Mark) Beikmann of Linn, KS; his grandchildren, Jackson and Brody Vollrath, Evelynn, Lincoln and Dawson Vollrath, and Hosmer, Elsa and Bowen Beikmann; a sister, Wanda (Robbie) Weese of Marysville; brothers, Ronald (Eileen) Vollrath and Glenn Vollrath, both of Marysville; sister-in-law, Barb Vollrath of Bellefontaine; brothers-in-law, Lowell (Phyllis) Reith of Salina, KS, Douglas (Lynae) Reith of Wichita, KS and Don (Denise) Reith of Inglewood, CA; as well as his aunt, Marilyn Greenbaum of Irwin and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry A. and Lydia A. (Streng) Vollrath; his sister, Sharon Ellinger; his brother, Dwight Vollrath; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Oletha Reith; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Reith.
