Elsie Wuertz Elsie Wuertz, age 93, of Columbus died Sunday, September, 11th, 2011, at her home, with her caregivers at her side. She was employed as a Nurse's Aide at Grant Hospital for 31years. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Pickerington and a member of the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed bird watching, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family. She was born February 8, 1918, in Marysville to the late Jacob P. and Bertha (Gase) Wuertz. She was preceded in death by three sisters and their spouses, Clara and Jack Bell, Ruth and Walter Bywater, and Bertha and Van Thompson; three brothers and their spouses, Lee Roy Wuertz, Victor and Janet Wuertz, Edward and Beverly Wuertz; and a brother-in-law, Oliver Beekman. Survivors include two sisters, Anna Wuertz, Marysville; and Mary Beekman, Centerburg; a brother Robert (Ruth) Wuertz, Edison; a sister-in-law Virginia Wuertz, Maryville; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, September, 15th, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Mannasmith Funeral Home, Marysville. Reverend Robert Heinlein will officiate and burial will take place at Union Township Cemetery, Milford Center. Friends may call from Noon until the time of the service.
