James M. Daum, 72, of Milford Center, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the O.S.U Wexner Medical in Columbus with his family by his side.
A loving and devoted brother, uncle and friend, he loved spending time with his family, certainly his daily visits with Nancianna. Of the Methodist faith, he formerly attended and was baptized at the Milford Center United Methodist Church. James was a veteran of the United States Navy and a long time truck driver. He was an avid collector of antique fishing tackle and poles and was well known for buying and selling antique fishing lures. He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker and target shooting with his rifles. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was also active with the community whenever he could give back, and this showed through the many friendships he made with those he helped as they struggled with addictions.
Born November 1, 1948 in Columbus, he was the son of the late George and Virginia (Shoemaker) Daum. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna Estep.
James is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Paul) Crum and Nancianna Daum, both of Marysville; nieces and nephews, Amanda and Matthew Crum, Deborah Blinn and Jeffrey Estep along with numerous cousins and other extended family and close friends.
