Ruth Ann Vollrath Ruth Ann Vollrath, age 66, of Chuckery died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at her home with her family at her side following an extended illness. Her family is comforted to know she has entered Heaven and is now home with her Lord. A woman of great faith, Ruth was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was confirmed on April 14, 1957. Over the years, she was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and member of the Ladies Aid. She was a devoted farmer's wife and had been employed as a legal secretary and bank bookkeeper and for 9 years served as her church's office secretary. Ruth was a humble and grateful heart transplant recipient and in recent years volunteered her time with Lifeline of Ohio and Memorial Hospital's Mobile Meals program. She was a graduate and co-valedictorian of Fairbanks High School class of 1962 and with her husband was a member of the Darby Plain Talkers Farm Bureau Council since 1966. Together with her husband, she loved God, their family, their church, their farm and traveling. She was born October 19, 1944 in Columbus to the late Walter and Nora Rausch Dellinger. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Rausch, and 2 brothers, Gerald & Walter Dellinger. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Philip Vollrath, to whom she was joined in Holy Matrimony on September 8, 1963, at St. John Lutheran church, her children, Marie (Jay) Van Gorden, Marysville; Daniel (Brande) Vollrath, Milford Center; and Rev. Jonathan (Laura) Vollrath, Dover, MN; 9 grandchildren whom she greatly loved and enjoyed, Erin, Benjamin & Kari Van Gorden; and Katelyn, Josephine, Samuel, Emily, Luke, and Grace Vollrath; her sister, Marjorie (Edgar) Scheiderer, Marysville; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Dellinger, Plain City; and Mary Jo (Ken) Rott, Urbana, IL; 2 brothers-in-law, John (Elizabeth) Vollrath, Stevens Point, WI; and David Vollrath, Kingsport, TN; 6 Godchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her church family. Friends may call from 2-4 & 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Mannasmith Funeral Home, Marysville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Reverend Paul Schlueter and Reverend Jonathan Vollrath will officiate and burial will take place at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund, Lifeline of Ohio, or HomeReach Hospice in care of the funeral home.
